Beirut Relief

On Tuesday, August 4th, 2020 a massive explosion rocked Beirut, Lebanon’s capital, leaving at least 158 dead, thousands injured and a vast area of the city devastated. Over three hundred thousand of Beirut inhabitants are either without shelter or living in unsafe conditions. 

 

When this disaster happened, the Lebanese people were already suffering through extremely difficult economic conditions and living through the COVID-19 pandemic. Now more than ever they need our help.

 

The World Lebanese Cultural Union (WLCU), Boston Chapter is working directly with charitable organizations in Beirut to provide food, medicine and care packages to the victims affected by this tragedy. 

 

The organizations we support are all actively on the ground assisting with food and shelter . 

 

 -Food Kitchen “Beit El Diafe NGO” Jounieh,

- Justice For All NGO, Tripoli Rescue and Response Teams,

- “Minteshreen Group” volunteers, Scouts and Material assistance, 

- “Baytna Baytak” Temporary Housing,

- Development Committee Tannourine, Volunteers and Food Distribution.

 

 

WlLCU is a 501c3 US registered, non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible. 100 % of the money donated goes directly to help the victims. There is never an overhead charge on the funds
